The Kia Rio is an urban vehicle, segment B, manufactured by Kia since 1997. It is currently marketed the fourth generation, presented in 2017, which received a slight makeover in mid-2022 whose main novelty was the incorporation of micro-hybrid mechanics. The Kia Rio is characterized by being one of the most spacious urban cars in its segment, with a great quality/price ratio, as well as by the micro-hybrid mechanicals accompanied by a manual gearbox with "by-wire" clutch.

The engine range of the Kia Rio consists of three gasoline engines. The access engine is a 1.2 naturally aspirated four-cylinder that develops 84 hp at 6,000 rpm and 118 Nm of torque, being available only with a five-speed manual transmission. These engines are based on a three-cylinder block of one liter cylinder capacity with turbocharger that will generate a maximum power of 100 hp or 120 hp.

The interior design of the Kia Rio stands out for its simplicity, visual appeal and apparently good ergonomics, which is attributed to physical controls for the climate control and radio volume, an elevated position for the multimedia system and traditional analog dashboard. It also features a second-generation Kia Connect infotainment system with a 20-centimeter (8-inch) touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as some useful real-time information.
