The Nigerian automobile industry has been on the decline since the first recession. The House of Representatives has made a committee to deduce the reason for its downfall and give further suggestions on how to make this dying industry revive. In the recent meeting, the lawmakers decided to negotiate with foreign automobile investors who would want to invest in the automobile industry in Nigeria, as they used to do late in the 70s.
Back in the ’70s till the ’90s, huge firms like Volkswagen had invested in various plants in Nigeria and were a source of good income for the Nigerian economy; however, due to the current circumstances in Nigeria, all the firms had taken a step back. However, the motion was emphasized to lessen the importation of used vehicles from abroad at cheaper rates yet causing a large sum of foreign exchange.

The committees of commerce and industries like petroleum were permitted to cooperate with the state chamber of other industries to ensure that all local and foreign companies were playing their parts in the projects run by the National Population Commission.

Other than all the above, Health care services were also mandated to have kept accurate data on activities related to COVID-19 so that the government agencies have instant access to the vaccinators and their data.
As fake vaccination certificates were also being made enormously, the Red Chamber also required the National Health Care Development Agency to work along with the operations of vaccinations, so that accurate records are kept, and such fraudulent activities are prohibited. As all foreign and local travelers must have vaccination cards, it was then also seconded by Hon as many travelers who are contacted with COVID could easily enter their nation and spread the virus.
He also made sure that all the vaccinated population’s database was provided to all international airports so that any person without one could be picked and reported accordingly, rather than getting away with a fake card.
